Risk Management Consultant

Koen is a young and enthusiastic Quantitative Consultant at Probability & Partners. At the age of 16 he obtained a Pre-University degree in Law at the University of Leiden through the Lapp-top program, which is called PRE-classes nowadays.

Next, he finished a BSc. Degree in Econometrics, Operational Research and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. Apart from multiple courses in mathematics, statistics and programming he completed a minor in Tax Law at the Amsterdam Law School. Due to this unique background he has experience in both quantitative analysis and legal research.

Afterwards, he started his MSc. Degree in Econometrics with a specialization in Data Analytics at the University of Amsterdam. This curriculum contained courses such as Machine Learning, Advanced Econometrics as well as Advanced People Analytics.

Finally, he has written his Master’s Thesis as an intern at Probability & Partners. Throughout his internship he was mainly focused on the banking sector with his thesis subject being the quantification of the Credit Spread Risk in the Banking Book (CSRBB).

Koen is socially skilled and eager to learn with a high level of energy, wide range of interests and positive mindset. He likes working in teams and enjoys group projects as well as presenting and public speaking.
